Friday Thoughts & My First Post of 2018

This is my first post of 2018, as you can see the site is completely different and very basic which I believe is for the best. Simply put I am going back to the basics. It dawned on me this morning while sifting through my books that we are in an era of distraction. This is why imposter syndrome is spreading like California wildfires. People have gotten away from the basics of what truly matters and what truly makes an impact. So this is me doing and sharing what I think is impacting and will help others, because these things have helped me.

Here are a few more things that dawned on me:

1. I might be a tad obsessed with books & reading. (which isn’t a bad thing to me!)

2. Goodwill is the plug because 50% of my books come from Goodwill and it’s usually the ones I want to read. (even some I didn’t know I needed to read) STOP BY A GOODWILL!

3. Our stories are important... Stay with me here!

The Bible tells us people perish because of a lack of knowledge. Which means people are perishing because they don’t know. I posted on Instagram yesterday about those of us who know some things, simply because we’ve been through some things (which are our stories). The things we’ve been through put us in a beautiful position to teach those who don’t know (or haven’t had our same experiences) and therefore are perishing because they are in a situation they’ve never been in.

We have to stop keeping what we know to ourselves. The tiniest bit of information can go a long way for someone who has no clue. Sharing won’t hurt you in any way! What it will do is lead to a return when you least expect it.

It’s not the quantity of the things we know it’s the quality. The quality things we know we must teach those who don’t, don’t hoard your gifts, do something with them. There are people who know tons of things but have never put what they know to work. Long story short!

“Without knowledge, people perish, with knowledge people prosper.” -Ashli Brown

Share what you know, plant that seed, share that book, resource, tool etc.... Be Blessed & Bloom

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
